I have been fortunate enough to travel to some great places in the past year, whether that be with friends, family or with Charlotte.
It doesn't matter if it's a weekend away at my grandparents in the lakes or a 12-day trip to East Africa...
Regardless of the location, I always gain massive mental clarity and perspective on the things going on back home.
Day-to-day life can come at you fast.
You wake up, do whatever is required of you that day and repeat this day after day.
Soon, the days become weeks and the weeks become months.
Short breaks and time away from your usual environment can act as a powerful recalibration.
You get to take time away from the busy day-to-day and identify the smaller things that you are excited to go back to.
Not only do you realise the small things you enjoy about your day-to-day...
But it's also a chance for you to think about what you want things to be like when you go back.
Whether this be adding things into your life or removing them, it helps you increase your clarity.
Personally, I need to get better at achieving this clarity in my normal weeks.
Perhaps this whole idea is a testament to the importance of rest and taking some time to evaluate the things you are doing and whether they are the right things.
It can be very easy to drift away and lose sight of your main aim when you are busy.
Taking some time away seems like a nice antidote to this.
Progress With Us Podcast
If you watched Episode 12, you'll know that we are in between studios right now.
We are waiting for our new studio to order a camera for us to use for a wide angle and it's not expected to come until next week.
So, that's why there was no podcast yesterday and unfortunately won't be one this coming Sunday either.
It is frustrating but it is out of our hands and we are excited to come back with a far more refined operation, as well as some exciting news on the network side of things.
Stay tuned.
Lessons From This Week
Being Present
Following on from last week's newsletter, I really focused on being present on my holiday last week and I had a great time.
Thoughts about the past and future were kept to a minimum.
Sleep Is Key
My sleep was pretty destroyed this past week and only when you have had a bad night's sleep do you realise how important it really is.
Currently watching Huberman's episode with Matthew Walker so I never sleep badly again.
Things That Cost Nothing
It costs nothing to turn up and work hard or to be a good person to work with or to overdeliver or to respond fast or to prepare for an extra few minutes.
Thanks for reading guys,

P.S. Only 2 weeks left of Project Kaizen and then I will stop bombarding your feeds daily.
