are you selling in the RIGHT way for YOU?
|
This is an idea that I'm going to be exploring with you over the next few weeks through my newsletter. It's that the majority of people I see running webinars who aren't seeing results just aren't running the right type of webinar. Let me expand on this. If you go and copy somebody's webinar, on their webinar, their offer, service, and delivery are based around some sort of new opportunity (for example, this new AI business model, or this new service, or this new way of doing things). Their webinar is either going to spend a lot of time going over the opportunity that has been created as a result of something new, or it's going to go over the opportunity of doing something in a new, more efficient, faster, safer, risk-free way. However, if you're selling a more proven service and your unique edge is that you have a system and data behind something, your webinar is going to follow a different flow with different word tracks, different selling points, and different frameworks. If you go and try and copy somebody's "opportunity" based webinar, then it's going to fall flat for you because you're not selling a new opportunity... You're selling something that's proven, and you're showing that they can do it in a proven, less risky way. A lot of people will take the phrase "new, easy, safe, and big," and they think that they often need to hit all of these things. Actually, it's going to be a sliding spectrum where some things are going to be more new, some things are going to be more easy, some things are going to be more safe, and some things are going to be more big. This depends on who you are, on what you sell, and what your unique advantages are. So many people will spend all their time looking at other people's webinars, trying to reverse engineer what they're doing when they're selling a different kind of offer with a different kind of angle that needs to be hit on. For example, I was consulting with someone the other day who's doing a webinar for a founder who has a lot of skin in the game, a lot of experience, some great headlines, and some great achievements. If he went and copied a webinar of somebody selling a new biz op (even if that offers at $2 million or $3 million a month), it's not going to work for him because he's using a tactic that works for somebody else. Depending on the kind of webinar that they should be running for his client, his client should be selling more things like proven processes, proven frameworks, proven unique mechanisms, and selling more of the 'Midas touch' approach (where they can just look at your stuff and immediately fix the problem). They're selling certainty. So ask yourself, what are you selling? What are you taking from other people that actually isn't the right approach for YOU? And what could you achieve if you were able to craft your webinar narrative around YOUR unique strengths? Food for thought. Lots of love. CM
